Ivan Podyomov, Hautbois

Ivan Podyomov est né en 1986 à Archangelsk en Russie. Il a commencé sa formation musicale dans l’Ecole de Musique de Gnessin à Moscou en étudiant la flûte à bec et le hautbois avec le professeur Ivan Pushetchnikov. De 2006 à 2011 Ivan Podyomov a étudié au Conservatoire de Musique de Genève avec Maurice Bourgue, où il a obtenu son Diplôme de Soliste avec distinction et un Prix de la fondation Raymond Weil.

Pendant ses études , Ivan Podyomov a été lauréat de nombreux concours de hautbois. Il a gagné le Concours International de ARD à Munich en 2011, le Concours International de Genève en 2010, le concours International de hautbois "Sony" à Karuizawa au Japon en 2009, le concours International de Markneukirchen 2010, le concours International du Printemps de Prague en 2008 où il a, par ailleurs, été récompensé par le prix spécial de la fondation Bohuslav Martinu pour la meilleure exécution du Concerto de Martinu.

Ces succès ont été le départ d’une carrière de soliste dynamique: en 2009, Ivan Podyomov débute au sein du Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester de Berlin. Ensuite il joue dans différents festivals tels que le Festival de Salzbourg, le Festival de Lucerne, le Printemps de Prague, le Festival de Radio France et Montpellier Longuedoc Roussillon, Mäcklenburg Vorpommern, le Central European Music Festival et autres ...

Il se produit avec des orchestres parmi lesquels l’Orchestre Symphonique de la Radio Bavaroise, l'Orchestre de Chambre de Munich, l’Orchestre Philharmonique de Tokyo, l’Orchestre Académique de la Philharmonie de Saint-Petersbourg, l’Orchestre Symphonique de Stavanger, l’Orchestre de Chambre de Genève, la Kammerakademie de Potsdam, le Collegium Musicum de Basel, la Camerata de Hamburg. Il a joué sous la direction de Michael Sanderling, David Afkham, Yuri Bashmet, Simon Gaudenz, Alan Buribeyev, Sebastian Tewinkel, Enrique Mazzola.

Parmi ses partenaires en musique de chambre: le Quatuor Hagen, Lars Vogt, Yulianna Avdeeva, Leonardo Garcia Alarcón, Sabine Meyer, Sharon Kam, Maurice Bourgue, Jacques Zoon, Bruno Schneider, Hervé Joulain, Alois Posch, Julian Bliss, Johannes Fischer, Hanna-Elisabeth Müller, Polina Pasztircsak.

En 2014 , Ivan Podyomov est nommé hautbois solo à l’Orchestre Symphonique de Bamberg avec le chef principal Jonathan Nott. Il a également joué en tant que hautbois solo invité à l’Orchestre Royal du Concertgebouw à Amsterdam, l’Orchestra Mozart de Bologna, Mahler Chamber Orchestra et autres, sous la direction de Claudio Abbado, Bernard Haitink et Daniel Harding.

Il rejoint le Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra en août 2016 en qualité de co-principal hauboïste.

Ivan Podyomov, Oboe

Ivan Podyomov was born in 1986 in Arkhangelsk, Russia. He commenced his musical education at the Gnessin School of Music in Moscow with Ivan Pushetchnikov. Since 2006 until 2011 Ivan has been studying with Maurice Bourgue at the Geneva Conservatory.

During his studies in Geneva, Ivan Podyomov has won a number of important oboe competitions: ARD International Competition in Munich in 2011, Geneva Competition and Markneukirchen Competition in 2010, the "Sony" Oboe Competition in Karuizawa Japan in 2009, the Prague Spring International Competition in 2008 where he has also won the Bohuslav Martinu Foundation Prize for the best performance of the Martinu oboe concerto.

These successes resulted numerous concerts at major venues around the world: in 2009 Ivan gave his debut with the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin as part of the series Debut im Deutschlandradio Kultur at the Berlin Philharmonie.

Further engagements followed, including concerts at the Konzerthaus in Berlin and Vienna, Konzert und Kongresszentrum Lüzern, Philharmonie of Cologne and Essen, Auditorium du Louvre and Salle Gaveau in Paris, Victoria Hall in Geneva, at the Lucerne Festival, Salzburg Festival, Prague Spring Festival, Festival of Radio France and Montpellier Languedoc-Roussillon, the Central European Music Festival, the Festival Mäcklenburg-Vorpommern. They were highly acclaimed by critics and

Ivan Podyomov has performed as soloist with the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Munich Chamber Orchestra, the Academic Symphony Orchestra of Saint-Petersburg Philharmonia, the Kammerakademie Potsdam, the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra, the Chamber Orchestra of Geneva, the Czech Chamber Philharmonic, the Collegium Musicum Basel, the Camerata Hamburg, conducted by Michael Sanderling, Yuri Bashmet, Simon Gaudenz, David Afkham, Alan Buribayev, Sebastian Tewinkel, Enrique Mazzola and others.

Ivan also has been frequently playing as the guest principal Oboist with the Orchestra Mozart Bologna and Mahler Chamber Orchestra under the baton of Claudio Abbado, Bernard Haitink and Daniel Harding.

Among his recent chamber music partners were the Hagen Quartet, Lars Vogt, Yulianna Avdeeva, Dmitri Vinnik, Sabine Meyer, Maurice Bourgue, Jacques Zoon, Sharon Kam, Alexander Bouzlov, Leonardo Garcia Alarcón, Francesco Corti, Olga Watts, Bruno Schneider, Hervé Joulain, Matthias Racz, Julian Bliss, Alois Posch, Niek de Groot, Edicson Ruiz, Hanna-Elisabeth Müller, Polina Pasztircsák, Johannes Fischer, Quartet Sine Nomine.

In January 2014 Ivan has been appointed as principal Oboist of the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra with principal Conductor Jonathan Nott. Ivan’s upcoming appearances include concerts with the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, the Kansai Philharmonic Orchestra of Osaka, and the Lübeck Philharmonic Orchestra at the Kioi and Toppan Halls in Tokyo, the Izumi Hall in Osaka, the Musik und Kongresshalle in Lübeck as well as various chamber music concerts.

Since 2016, Ivan Podyomov is the new co-principal oboe of the Royal Concertgbouw Orchestra.
